I moved to a fishing city near Fukuoka.

After I read the book The Long Game, I started to look for something I will be interested in, something that I would like to do for decades.

In Bali I was staying with the locals. During the traditional ceremonies I came across an opportunity to cook fish. Looking back this was a coincidence I came across that would change my life.

I kept thinking about that cooking experience throughout my whole Southeast Asia trip. The locals didn't know how to cook the fish so I just imitated what was on Youtube and cooked it to aqua pazza.

After coming back to Japan, I bought myself a kitchen knife then set off to Hokkaido. I placed myself in working in resort jobs across Japan to look for an ideal place to learn about fish and engage in cooking them.

One of the first colleagues I met was an expert in fishing, and we fished a lot of yamame fish.

We cooked in several ways, and it tasted out of the world. I also remembered the Bali experience. I decided to cook it again to aqua pazza to enjoy the meal with the people around me.

I was able to find a working experience in Tsukiji Outer Market, and this was an awesome experience. I even had a colleague tell me I was able to inspire him to change his life, and he passed me his kitchen knife he used to use when he ran a Kappo Japanese restaurant until he had to close it during the pandemic.

I continued to look for places that are the most engaging, and finally decided to settle myself in a fishing city in Kyushu, 1.5 hours away from Central Fukuoka.

I met some really nice people and had the opportunity to fish Japanese sea bass called Suzuki.

You can already guess what I cooked. Yes, aqua pazza.

I'm slowly being able to prepare the fish I fish and buy in the market. I love preparing dishes like sashimi, tempura, and soups.

I was introduced to a fisherman that takes fishing guests to remote islands. He wants my help promoting what he does in English, while I get chances to discover good fishing points of the best tasting fishes in Japan.

All these things, I can genuinely say that I've been very lucky, passionate, and interested in the whole journey. It's uneasy, but I'm able to overcome the many obstacles along the way because I'm interested.

Money is secondary, which I can now be quite confident that it will follow.

Thanks for Reading!

So follow me on my journey discovering the best fish dishes of Japan. I will open a fish laboratory in my akiya abandoned house I'm going to live soon.

I would love to connect with people interested in fishes, cooking, and Japanese food. Share me your interests, and let's

This will be my long game, and I look forward to sharing what happens.
