The October 2025 weather forecast of Fukuoka and Karatsu!

Northern Kyushu will be hotter than usual in October, 2025.

Based on the forecast from According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, I summarized the 1 month weather forecast of North Kyushu including Fukuoka and Karatsu!

The October Weather Forecast for Northern Kyushu (including Yamaguchi Prefecture)

The weather forecast for October 2025 will be higher than usual. Northern Kyushu including Fukuoka, Karatsu, and Yamaguchi (prefecture at the western tip of the mainland, Honshu) is as follows:

Key Forecast Points

This seems to be a weather forecast for the upcoming month. Here's a summary of the key points:

  • The high temperatures are expected to continue for the next month, as the area will likely be covered by warm air.Temperatures are predicted to be especially high in the first half of the period.
  • It's been relatively sunny this past week (end of September~beginning October)
  • Temperatures range in between 20~30 degrees celsius, with a humidity of around 60%.
  • The cities near the sea including Fukuoka and Karatsu are experiencing nice sea breeze.
  • There are chances of rainfall over the next month due to typhoon season. But while the mountain areas in Southern Karatsu is affected by typhoon, the mountain blocks the rain to come north to the coast. The city center of Karatsu and Fukuoka along the coast is less affected from typhoon.
  • However, it still rains once in awhile, so an easy rain jacket will come in handy.

Weather Outlook for October 2025

The weather will change in cycles of a few days. However, sunny days are expected to be more frequent than usual, especially during the second half of the period.

Averages for the Next Month

  • Average Temperature: Higher than recent years, especially the first half of October.
  • Precipitation: Expected to be nearly average
  • Sunshine Hours: Expected to be average

What should you dress for October in Kyushu?

It's the same as what I said for September.

A t-shirt, shorts, and sandals or sneakers are best.

But, having a rain jacket in your backpack is closer to a "should." We do have timings that could be chilly compared to the warm temperatures during the day.

The portable rain jacket will help you keep your health along your trip in Japan.

If I were you, I would come to Japan with the least amount of clothing and shop here. Major airports of Japan will most likely have Uniqlo or Muji that will have the clothing the suits the current weather of Japan at the time.

Uniqlo sells water BlockTech repellent jackets which will help you in light rains.

The quality is amazing for the price and will become a good souvenir for you back home.

*While July~September was unbearably hot, October is just nice. I don't need to worry about heat stroke neither.

I personally don't drink the sports drinks or eat the candies that supplements the lost minerals from all the sweating which I used to during the summer.

Summary:

  • Average Temperature: Expected to be **higher than recent years**
  • Precipitation: Expected to be **average or above**
  • Sunshine Hours: Expected to be **average or above**
  • Have portable rain jacket for rain and temperature control.

Come join me on the journey at Karatsu.

I moved into Karatsu on March, 2025 from the variety of fish it has.

But I want to try to work with the local businesses and the government to show you hints of the samurai town.

It has great traditional content that is interesting, but it's still hidden.

It will be my pleasure to show you the charms of the samurai city as an experience that we all can learn from to better our lives.

Thanks for Reading!

Follow me on my journey discovering the best fish dishes of Japan. I will open a fish laboratory in my akiya abandoned house I'm going to live soon.

I would love to connect with people interested in fishes, cooking, and Japanese food. Share me your interests, and let's hang out!

This will be my long game, and I look forward to sharing what happens.
